Choose the chart by the work you want to do

Myself: begin with Western natal, Vedic natal, Human Design, BaZi, or Tzolkin depending on the tradition you want to explore.
Another person: use that person’s profile and keep consent, privacy, and uncertainty visible.
A relationship: use synastry for interactions, composite for the shared pattern, or Human Design composite for that system’s relationship mechanics.
Timing: choose personal transits, current sky, one of six returns, progressions, solar arcs, annual profections, or a carefully framed horary chart.
Place: use astrocartography for world-map lines and relocation for a recalculated local house structure.
Reflection: tarot is included as a reading mode; it is not a calculated astrology chart.

Natal, synastry, and composite answer different questions

A natal chart maps one birth moment. Synastry keeps two natal charts intact and examines contacts between them. A composite chart calculates a new midpoint-based chart that symbolizes the relationship as a shared entity. None of the three can establish consent, measure love, or decide whether two people should stay together.

A relationship question often benefits from moving between layers: understand each person’s natal pattern, inspect the interaction in synastry, then use a composite view for themes the relationship seems to create. The app’s value is access to those layers—not a claim that more charts make an answer objectively true.

Timing charts describe cycles, not scheduled outcomes

Transits compare the current sky with a natal chart. Returns begin when a planet reaches its natal longitude again. Progressions and solar arcs symbolically advance a natal chart. Annual profections activate a house and time lord by age. Horary casts a chart for one question at a specific moment.

Each technique has its own assumptions and scale. A lunar return may frame a short emotional cycle; a Saturn return works across a much longer developmental period. Timing language should describe themes, attention, and possible choices—not promise an event on a date.

Birth time matters most when angles and houses matter

An exact time changes the Ascendant, Midheaven, houses, angularity, Human Design details, astrocartography lines, and relocation structure. It can also matter in relationship overlays and timing techniques. The catalogue labels time as required, recommended, or unnecessary for each mode instead of making one blanket statement.

When time is unknown, date-based or current-sky work may still be useful. The responsible approach is to hide or qualify details that depend on a precise time rather than silently substituting certainty.
